Workshop on Data Diffraction Deposition (DDD)

This full-day Workshop is organised by the DDD Working Group, appointed by the IUCr Executive Committee to define the need for and practicalities of routine deposition of primary experimental data in X-ray diffraction and related experiments. It will take the form of a one-day workshop to review progress during the Working Group's first year of activity.  Places are limited and will be offered in the first instance to members, consultants and Commission representatives associated with the Working Group. You need JavaScript enabled to view it (Brian McMahon) as this can most likely be arranged.  Registration is 80 Euros and will cover the cost of the morning and afternoon refreshment breaks and lunch on the day and a soft drinks reception on the evening before. The Workshop programme will run from 9am to 5pm.

The venue is Bergen University in the centre of town.

Dates:
Arrival Sunday August 5th 2012; Registration and soft drinks reception 7pm.
Monday August 6th (n.b. ECM27 Opening Ceremony is expected at 6pm approx).

Timetable outline:
9am to 5pm with 30 mins for morning coffee and afternoon tea with 60 minutes for lunch and 360 minutes for active sessions. Contributions would be assigned as per the meeting held at the IUCr Madrid Congress but with 10 minutes presentations for each Commission (total 170 minutes), 10 minutes for each Consultant (total 50 minutes) and each WG Member (total 70 minutes). There would be two open discussions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon of 35 minutes each.
